Evacuation sheets are placed under a foam mattress and secured using four elastic straps on either corner. In the event of an emergency, two webbing straps are removed from the storage pouches on the fire evacuation sheet and secured around the mattress and patient, who will then be evacuated with the use of the pull handles.
